Dona Joaquina wine is born from a "service provision" partnership between Soc. Agrícola da Herdade do Alto do Pina and Adega Fóni. Since the first harvest, we have fostered our partnership to produce quality wines. Over the years, we have been perfecting our winemaking techniques and "learning" about organic winemaking. At the moment, we already have a production of around 80,000 liters of Certified Organic wine. The namesake wines are a family tribute to its matriarch, Dona Joaquina, mother of the current owner of the Estate.
In the vineyard, grape varieties are selected based on their characteristics to make the various types of wine. Grape picking is done manually to select the bunch while it is still on the vine.
